PSSAG is implementing with Government Health Department in “Health and Hygiene Promotion Project” (H2P2), is a 36 months long project intended to provide a) Basic health care services including doctor consultation, treatment and medicine for the poor and extreme poor people of the remote rural and isolated communities; b) Facilitate specialized health services for the extreme poor and vulnerable people through identification of diseases, referral services, support treatment from city base specialized hospitals, providing medicine, operation fees, transportation and other cost; c) Facilitate intensive health education and awareness, camping on preventive health care issues and WASH knowledge, behavior and practices; d) Build capacity of the Traditional Birth Attendant (TBA), Health Promoter and Community Health Volunteers through training and guiding. The major beneficiaries of this project will be the most disadvantaged communities, including the minority Muslim, Christian, Hindus and other remote poor and extreme poor Buddhist communities living in rural areas of Myaungmya and Eimme Township under Ayeyarwady division. This will be a very unique and critical need base service that is not offered by any other health service providers in the proposed areas.
